The Perry Peace Memorial will open for the 2022 season on Saturday, May 16th, at 10 am

with a musket firing demonstration by participants dressed in 1812 era uniforms.  This year marks the 106th year of operation. The Perry Victory and International Peace Memorial monument was closed for the 2017 season while the monument underwent an interior and exterior renovation/restoration process.

Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial was built to honor those who fought in the Battle of Lake Erie, during the War of 1812, and to celebrate the long-lasting peace among Great Britain, Canada, and the United States of America.

The Perry Peace Memorial, a 352-foot tall Doric structure is the tallest in the world. The Visitors Center at Put-in-Bay is open to the public from:

May  14th to September 14th from 10 am to 6 pm

September 15th to September 30th from 10 am to 5 pm

October weekends Friday thru Monday until October 22nd, 10 am to 5 pm.

The visitors center is a wonderful place for tourists to learn about the history of the famous Put-in-Bay Monument and easily reached with a Put-in-Bay golf cart rental.
