Tailgate Weekend at Put-in-Bay is all about the football!  Games are on every weekend in the Put-in-Bay Bars of course, but on this tailgate weekend, in particular, football takes the focus thanks to the Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers. Their annual tailgate party helps raise funds for important causes all around the county and the  Lake Erie Islands. It’s a marquee late-summer event that is always a blast!

Pick Your Team Pick Your Big Screen TV

Week 4 of the NFL season and week 5 of the Collegiate season will be on the agenda for this fun weekend. Find out who your favorite team will be playing against once the schedule times are finalized at each location. Hosted by the Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers, so obviously it will be a Browns featured event! All of the big games will be on, and this is an event for all football fans.

Wear Your Teams Colors On Tailgate Weekend

Be sure to wear the gear of your college team favorites as well, because there will definitely be some big college football games on Saturday. Expect to see a lot of scarlet and grey on Saturday representing The Ohio State Buckeyes!,  Sunday the pro gear comes out! Put-in-Bay is definitely Brown’s territory, but you’ll see more than just Brown’s fans.

The Bengals have fans all over Ohio, Detroit isn’t too far, so some Lions fans will make the trip. Then of course teams like the Steelers, Cowboys, and Raiders who have large fanbases across the country will be represented as well. This weekend promises to be a blast and a great celebration of America’s favorite sport. As long as your team wins that is.

Best Places To Watch The Tailgate Weekend

When it comes time to kick back and watch the big game nobody says BIG TV’s Live the Blue Marlin Bar & Grill at the Put-in-Bay Resort. Their MASSIVE 6 foot by 12-foot jumbotron will have the days highlighted games on and of course Ohio State & The Cleveland Browns!
