We had an incredible family adventure on Put-in-Bay Island! From the moment we hopped on the morning ferry from Kelley's Island to Put-in-Bay until our departure at 4:00, the island provided endless fun and excitement for everyone and many things to do at put in bay . To make the most of our time, we decided to rent a golf cart, which turned out to be a fantastic idea. Although the rentals at the ferry drop-off were quite expensive, we discovered that we could find daily golf cart rentals for only $70 or $15 per hour just a block away. It was a blast zipping around the island in our little vehicle.

Our first stop was Perry's Cave, where we were amazed by its underground chambers, stalactites, and fascinating history. Next, we ventured to the Butterfly House, a truly enchanting experience for both kids and adults. The vibrant colors and graceful fluttering of the butterflies mesmerized us all. Perry's Miniature Golf offered a delightful challenge, with whimsical holes and friendly competition among family members.

The Chocolate Museum was a must-visit, where we indulged in delectable treats and learned about the fascinating history of chocolate. The park at Put-in-Bay was a highlight, boasting beautiful scenery and fantastic playgrounds where the kids had a blast climbing, swinging, and sliding to their heart's content.

No trip to Put-in-Bay would be complete without a visit to Perry's Monument, a towering memorial that offers breathtaking views of the island and Lake Erie. The historical significance of the monument and its surroundings left us in awe.

To top off our day of fun, we headed to The Boardwalk, a vibrant waterfront destination offering a plethora of dining options and entertainment. The lively atmosphere, delicious food, and stunning views made it the perfect place to unwind and create lasting memories.

Exploring the central park at Put-in-Bay was a delight. The park's beauty and well-maintained playgrounds provided a perfect setting for the kids to enjoy themselves. We also took some time to stroll around the marina and browse the charming shops, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit.

Overall, our day on Put-in-Bay Island was the highlight of our trip, with activities and attractions that brought joy to both adults and kids alike. Every moment was filled with laughter and adventure, from the fascinating caves and the magical Butterfly House to the delightful mini-golf and mouthwatering chocolate. The island's central park, marina, and shops added to the charm, providing additional opportunities for family fun. Put-in-Bay truly exceeded our expectations with so many things to do and gave us cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the Yellow Tree B&B during our visit in August 2019. Initially, I had low expectations for Put-in-Bay, as I had researched some of the less desirable motels on the mainland. I envisioned a sleepy island with rundown fishing shacks, mediocre bed and breakfasts, and forgettable restaurants. However, my perception quickly changed as soon as we arrived at the bustling ferry terminal. Contrary to what someone had mentioned about it not being a good place for kids, there were actually numerous families, teenagers, and college-age kids on the boat.

Put-in-Bay, the main town located 2 miles north of the Millers Ferry landing, offered a variety of options as soon as we disembarked. Renting a golf cart or a bike seemed to be the popular choices, and I would highly recommend the golf cart. The island was teeming with them, creating a lively atmosphere. Bringing our own car seemed unnecessary and excessive, considering the limited number of roads on the island.

Put-in-Bay itself had a festive vibe, with stunning restaurants and vibrant lighting. Perry's Victory Column, located on the outskirts of town, was a notable sight to behold. We decided to dine at the local brewery, but there were plenty of excellent dining options to choose from. While it seemed like it could be a wild place, with venues for live bands, there were also reminders to keep the island clean and respect the environment. I observed a mix of young adults with a Mardi Gras mentality, families, young couples, and older individuals enjoying their time on the island.

My wife and I had a delightful and romantic stroll around town, taking a cab, which was actually a small bus, on three occasions. The following morning, we rented bikes and rode the length of the island, which was a fantastic experience. Put-in-Bay left such a positive impression on us that we hope to return. I would definitely recommend it for couples seeking a romantic getaway or families looking for a fun-filled vacation destination. There are so many things to do for kids that we will bring them along next time.

We had an amazing day trip as a family to Put-in-Bay. My two boys, aged 9 and 11, absolutely loved it. The highlight of our day was renting a golf cart and exploring the entire island. Driving around was so much fun, and we got to see the beautiful parks and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the marina.

While the town mainly consists of restaurants, shops, and bars, which might not have kept us occupied for several days, it was perfect for a fantastic day trip. We were able to make the most of our time and experience all the island had to offer. The boys were thrilled, and we created wonderful memories together.

Put-in-Bay is definitely an excellent destination for families seeking a fun-filled day trip. With its picturesque parks, entertaining marina, and various attractions, it provides a fantastic experience with many things to do for kids and for visitors of all ages.
