THE PUT-IN-BAY SIGN

New for the 2022 Season!

Welcome to the Put-in-Bay Sign!

We are so pleased to be able to present the newest Put-in-Bay landmark, the Put-in-Bay sign. Motivated by comparable landmarks in larger urban areas, most notably the Cleveland landmark sign, something like this has even more charm at a leisure destination like Put-in-Bay.

This sign structure was the outcome of the hard work of the Put-in-Bay sign commission. It involved many months of planning and raising funds needed to build the Put-in-Bay Sign. Last season’s extremely successful Benson Ford Ship House tours aided in a substantial amount of funds. Now, there is a place for people to take photographs celebrating their Put-in-Bay trip for years to come!

Put-in-Bay Sign An Iconic Photo Landmark!

It has taken a little time for individuals to fall in love with the Put-in-Bay sign. Within the first couple of weekends, there’s been a line to take photographs with the sign, and photos are appearing on the Official Put-in-By Facebook Page and via email of travelers who just wanted to share their photos.

It’s extremely validating for those who campaigned for the sign and designed it. We’re so happy that people are excited about it! The Put-in-Bay Sign will long be a destination for Put-in-Bay Tourists!

A Trip to Put-in-Bay Is Not Complete Without Taking A Picture with the Put-in-Bay Sign!

Next time you’re on the island, make it a point to stop by the Put-in-Bay sign and snap a few photos! Send them to us to enter our free weekend contest, and perhaps you’ll see your photo on the Put-in-Bay Visitors Bureau website soon!

A trip to the Put-in-Bay sign is just as important as a stop at the top of the monument! Take advantage of the Put-in-Bay sign in the South Bass Island State Park and create some memories!

We stayed in port Clinton, took the ferry over for a day, and had an amazing day! We took the first ferry over, had breakfast, and then hit the main attractions, like the caves, the wineries, and the restaurants. When we were finished with the main attractions, we drove the golf cart around the island and ended up at the State Park with the new Put-in-Bay Sign. It was really cool! Lots of put-in-bay things to doI think two days is about all you need to visit everything,

The island is home to Put in Bay, the party center of Lake Erie, and a fun place to visit with many restaurants, shops, bars, and live entertainment during the season. But there is more to the island than the village. A few nice wineries, a small state park with a really cool Put-in-Bay Sign, interesting homes, and a nature preserve. We were at put-in-bay during the week

We just spent five nights on the island at the Put-in-Bay Resort. The holiday weekend crowd in town was really fun and a bit crazy:) But into the week, it quieted down, and we visited a lot of sites that most people probably don't even know existed. The new Put-in-Bay Sign was fun for the family to clown around with and take some photos.

I really like the new Put-in-Bay sign! The backdrop of Lake Erie, especially about sunset, really makes for a great photo! So many people out there trying to get a photo! The jet Express was how to get to put-in-bay

We took the ferry over and visited the island on a Monday. It was slow in the morning, and the crowds picked up slightly around lunchtime. We rented a golf cart and drove all over the island, which was nice. We didn't really go into many shops. We just enjoyed the island and state park by the new Put-in-Bay Sign.

Our recent trip (my first) to Small Bass Island, home of Put-In-Bay, surpassed my expectations for fun! There was an abundance golf carts and bikes to rent (we elected to leave our car on the mainland of Ohio), restaurants and pubs to eat and drink, shops to look for unique gifts and souvenirs, and places of interest encouraging activities and exploring. It seemed like the "Key West" of Ohio! It was clean, well-designed, and welcoming. Travel tip check out the new Put-in-Bay Sign at the state park!
