We summer on Put-in-Bay and have had chow at Margaritas On The Rock numerous times. The meals are great - I love the Ahi Tuna. This is one of our favored dining places on Put-in-Bay. Prices are appropriate as compared with everything else on Put-in-Bay. There is a nice view of the Monument.

Awesome Peach Margarita! We came here for lunch initially, but the kitchen was not open yet, so we came back afterward for beverages. We sat at the pub and were welcomed instantly. I enjoyed a key lime coconut margarita, and then I had a peach margarita frozen. My boyfriend proceeded with the jalapeño margarita, which only arrived on the rocks. We both liked ours. The peach was really pleasing, one of the best-frozen drinks I've had in a while. For the two margaritas in a cup, it was $11, which was a little expensive. Margaritas On The Rock environment was more peaceful. It wasn't super busy when we were there in the late afternoon. Easy location near all the put in bay hotels They also had some fun games, like oversized Jenga, to play. Overall, good venture, just a little costly!

Excellent Wait Staff!-We have stopped in here daily for a beverage or three while visiting Put-in-Bay: amazing bartenders (Jackie) and people-watching. The site is on the more quiet side. Prices moderate. I never had food at Margaritas On The Rock, so I can't comment. One of our favorite put in bay restaurants

Served in authentic glasses outdoors-Stopped Margaritas On The Rock and had an outdoor beverage after eating elsewhere during a mid-week afternoon. They were not overcrowded. Street-view seating in the shadiness was ideal! Beverages came by the glass or pitcher, which they used, which was a plus. I enjoyed my well-priced ($9) red sangria while people were watching in the warm lake breeze. The service was friendly and fast. We were checked on but not bothered. Nice. Country music was a little noisy. Not much to my preference, but I know it's relatively widespread. margaritas on the rock menu was pretty good!

Great Margaritas On The Rock- We went there twice yesterday. On our final day in Put-in-Bay, we needed to reexamine a place for lunch that we liked last visit, so we had a margarita pitcher at 11 and a monumental one later that night. VERY pleasing, and the two bartenders were Awesome!! We gave the reusable glass to our hotel neighbors so they could enjoy it today, as it was our final day there.

Get the perch tacos!! Loved it! We were here on a weekday, so we were the sole patrons. The bartender was amazing, showed us lots of info, and patiently responded to all of our inquiries. The set-up was cool; it made you feel like you were on the tropical islands. Margaritas were good, too. But the Meals!!! OH MY GOODNESS!! We got a perch sandwich on a pretzel bun and the perch tacos, and they were both SO Fine. I'm drooling just considering them. Margaritas On The Rock is a must-stop.

Best Margaritas on the Rock! It's a lovely outdoor pub with an island feel. The waitstaff is smiling, content, and prepared to converse about island history or what to pick from the Southwestern menu! I enjoy the strawberry margarita on the rocks and the marvelous perch tacos. Be sure you find some time to stop and see this place!

Great Place for Lunch and Margaritas! We returned over Labor Day weekend because we enjoyed it so much in July! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! My wife had the Classic Marguarita - I had the Barbarita Marguarita - both were amazing! We also requested the soft tacos - she had the chicken, and I had the shrimp taco. Margaritas On The Rock is our go-to place!

Amazing Margaritas-After voyaging around the Island we stopped in Margaritas On The Rock to check out the new establishment. The Bartender, Kurt made some terrific suggestions, I had the scorpion margarita, and it was one of the most pleasing I've ever had. The chip sampler was a fine snack. I love the new ambiance of the place. margaritas on the rock putinbay filled in a void that was missing at Put-in-Bay.

Delicious libations! Went to Margaritas On The Rock for the first time yesterday as it is a brand new establishment this season, and I was pretty impressed. The bartenders were very accommodating and cordial as I spoke to one guy for a time to get the lowdown on the place. The drinks were tasty, and his recommendation was spot on for me. Prices are in the average span for margaritas but lofty compared to mainland options. I recommend this place as a chill night stop with some buddies.

Olaf M.

Best Margaritas EVER Margaritas On The Rock I have had many, but this was likely the most pleasing ever. We had that and appetizers, and they were great. They had a really good live band, and it was not too noisy so that you could not listen to anyone. It is an undeniable stop if you are at Put In Bay!!!

Great Location for Magaritas!-This is a new place called Margaritas On The Rock, and we stopped in based on friends' recommendations and were very happy we did! We started with Margaritas - they were amazing! We also ordered taco chips and salsa to munch on. The chips were excellent, and the salsa was exceptional! margaritas on the rock menu was the bomb! And the quantity! It was the first time we couldn't finish the full serving of chips & salsa! The music is a bit noisy, but that's to be anticipated on a summer Friday. We'll be returning!

I've vacationed at South Bass and Put-in-Bay (the only village on the Island) numerous times, and I consistently can't wait to go back. If you go during the week, there's less of a Spring Break feeling. I don't go to taverns, so I can't speak to that part; when I go, I camp at the South Bass Island State Park. During the week it's less loud and is quite enjoyable. I consistently get a cliffside site where only tents are allowed. You can rent kayaks or jet skis at the dock. The only items I don't like about the campground are Mayflies can dampen your zeal if it's a heavy year and The shore at the park has gravel instead of sand. Our favorite place to eat was Margaritas On The Rock.

I also actually like "downtown" Put-in-Bay. There are quaint shops and eateries with bunches of seafood overseeing the bay. There's Perry's Monument to see, but I like to go to Crystal Cave on the route into town - I love caverns & rocks! My mom says the winery tour is excellent, and she goes every year. We enjoyed eating at Margaritas On The Rock

Bernice F.

I treasure Put In Bay! It's retro and has excellent eateries and shopping. I suggest taking the Jet Express over. The ride is shorter, only about 30 minutes. There is a small playground in the park when you first get off the boat. Also, rent a golf cart. You will be glad you did. I have not spent the evening there, but I have heard the hotels are small and have amicable staff. Loved the food at Margaritas On The Rock. Go and enjoy!

Make certain you visit the lighthouse there. You can get everywhere by foot, bike, or golf carts. The prices are pretty good for the golf carts!!! We rented one for a couple of hours or so!! We have not visited all night on the Island, but we plan to soon!! We always stoop at the Margaritas On The Rock to eat. We bring the Jet Express over to the Island. It is the quickest way over there. They have a putt-putt on the Island. It is fun but busy, though. There are cute shops and music to enjoy at some of the saloons.
