Fantastic little island. I leased a Bike as soon as I got off the ferry. I consumed most of the day riding around the isle, looking at small stores, and doing a winery excursion. I wish I had scheduled more time to spend here. We had a delightful lunch out by the State park at the Nut Shack. We really liked the put in bay hotels

Awesome way to spend a summer day. We go to Put-in-Bay a couple of times every summer. There are several fine restaurants (The Boardwalk, The Round House for Chicken, and The Nut Shack for burgers), more than enough excellent bars, a winery, and lots of regional Ohio history. Lease a golf cart or bike and ride about the island at your own speed. You can take your automobile over on the ferry, but parking is a pain in the summer months with all the people. On weekends at night, it gets a little wild and is not what I would call family-friendly. If you want to bypass that, go during the day or during the week.

Tons of Tourist Sites-I would suggest taking advantage of the extensive & complimentary parking lots found near the ferry to the isle. It is just a $14 round trip per person to the island, and there are many golf cart rental establishments within walking distance when landing on the island. The island itself is flat & very easy to get around. During the high tourist season, it would not be easy getting around the island in a car. There are many hotels and restaurants to fit your wallet. We enjoyed an inexpensive afternoon sandwich at the Nut Shack. Numerous boat docks. I would say a freshwater boaters heaven. For landlubbers, the Oliver Perry Memorial & trip to the winery would be highlighted if I were to go again.

A MUST SEE - Don't bring your automobile! A couple of nights on this small island was a highlight of one of our numerous trips this year. Safe - Good Food-Clean - Colorful - Unique - Friendly-Good Bars -Beautiful Scenic Waterfront. We stayed at the Edgewater Hotel & walked the town each day. Most won't even require golf carts to get about. We even rolled our baggage to & from the ferry. The ferry was only a 22-minute ride from Port Clinton. (But first, we drove Five minutes up the road & stopped at Firelands Winery, which was very pleasant.) It is free parking a block from the ferry & you can drop bags off first by ferry. Excellent time & we met additional nice couples at the Mohito Bay Pub, which is a large tiki hut with swings for stools, all about a half-circle bar with sand as the floor. And they have bunches of other elevated table seating. We appreciated each & every establishment since we were there for four nights. The whole village is a two-block courtyard. The Nut Shack was a nice place to grab breakfast and coffee in the morning. We go to Key West, FL, each year & heard about Put-in-Bay's Key West Days at the end of August, so we tried it. Some of the performers from Key West really came up & executed. However, some had canceled.

Party on the bay spot !-It is a fun place to visit, and not far off either! Convenient and happening. It has plenty of options to do and spend some quality time with the family. Water sports like any shoreline town, canoe, kayak, jet ski, rent a boat, parasailing, or just relaxing in the parks and having a stunning view of the powerful lake. Pool parties, Sunday classic car rounds, biplane rides. So much to do. Rent a golf cart for the day, and you are set to explore. Good combination of pubs n bars to grab a beer. Lunch at The Nut Shack at the State Park was cool.

Absolutely love coming to Put-In-Bay! Whether it's with my kids and family our out for a night with friends, there is always something going on. Every time we've stayed at the Put-in-Bay Resort it has been so much fun and super clean. We go back a couple of times every year 🙂 There are so many things to do in put in bay and the put in bay beach was fun for the kids. There is a restaurant there called the Nut Shack.

Amazing day trip! This isle is jumping! We rented a golf cart at Put-in-bay Golf Carts online prior to the ferry over to the island. This island is clean, appealing, and much larger than I thought. There are two wineries, lots of eateries and bars, places to camp, kayak, and Perry Memorial.

Decent place to spend with family or with friends. I spent a day with relatives here. Local transportation on the island is amazing. They make the trip more engaging with the history behind every aged structure and island. Also, you will get a golf cart to wander around as per your desire.
Their abundance of local restaurants and wineries is there to enjoy. No fast food chains are present, but The Nut Shack was an inexpensive option. The most reasonable way to enjoy yourself is to go with family or a group of buddies.

Great day trip at Put-in-Bay! We took the children (11 and 13 years old) and pretty much did everything there was to visit and accomplish in one day, with the exception of parasailing. We went jet skiing and had a fabulous lunch at The Nut Shack. They really liked the Butterfly House, the rock wall, Perry's memorial, and riding around the isle in a golf cart. put in bay restaurants can be expensive but this was not!
