For over 60 years, the Frosty Bar Family Pizza has been a Put-in-Bay institution and is owned by the Stoiber family. There are a number of bars located on Put-in-Bay, but Frosty’s signature frosty mugs make them best known for serving ice-cold beers. Frosty Bar Family Pizza is one place we always have to stop at when we’re in Put-in-Bay! The backyard bar is awesome and all of the bartenders out there are very friendly. The pizza here is wonderful as well, and the breakfast is the best! Super fun place with a nice atmosphere and great staff. Definitely stop here for a beer in a frosty mug!
I can see Frosty Bar Family Pizza could probably get rowdy and crowded late at night but my wife and I went earlier in the day. Only a few drunk people in there and a few older men.
Slower service but beer glasses were ice cold. Miller’s light watered down taste and the nachos were great. But fairly cheap and cool inside, a lot of decors to look at and t-shirts. Clean inside too.
We needed a dog-friendly place to eat lunch during our day trip memorial day weekend! The staff was awesome. Our dog even got her own dog bowl with iced water! We enjoyed the garlic breadstick, they were nothing like we have tasted before.
We also enjoyed a pepperoni and cheese wood-fired pizza! It was so good. The pepperoni was huge and under the cheese. They do not go easy on the cheese either which is great. Who likes a pizza that has hardly any cheese.
The sauce was good and not too heavy. We will definitely be back to Frosty Bar Family Pizza next time we are on the island.
Put-in-Bay has few notable places for a good breakfast but what sets Frosty Bar Family Pizza apart are the potatoes. Fresh shredded and delicious, not deep-fried cubes or tootsie roll nubs. Get the biscuits and gravy with a side of the potatoes and you’ll be loving life
An OASIS on a SCORCHING HOT day!!My grandson and I were greeted at Frosty Bar Family Pizza by Jurgis with a frosty cold pitcher of water and 2 cups the moment we sat down. It was HELL outside and we were exhausted from the heat. We ordered the Brie and chicken pizza with sundried tomatoes to nibble on while we cooled down and rested. Fabulous!!! We also ordered frozen drinks, one smoothie, and one very boozy drink for me, which were good.
This restaurant/bar was SPOTLESS! Gorgeous hardwood floors and calm colors on the walls. And the service very attentive. Jurgis even brought us a kid’s fun paper so my grandson and I could play tic tac toe while cooking off. We didn’t plan to come here, we were hot and exhausted and this was the place before us. I recommend families to come here. We’ll be back.
Always visit Frosty Bar Family Pizza several times while on the island. A great party in the bar-room; seating in the restaurant area. It’s always cool inside too when you are trying to get away from the heat it is one of the better hideouts on the island.
We were going to have breakfast at another restaurant down the street. They had a waiting line so we decided to try FrostyBar Family Pizza. So glad we did. The service by our youthful Lithuanian server was great. We each had the Quick and Easy. 2 eggs (we did scrambled), bacon, hash browns, and toast. There were 4 slices of bacon!
We recommended this restaurant to people waiting to get into the OTHER restaurant when we left. Some left the line and went to Frostys.
