Known for their seafood & steaks, Tippers Seafood Steak House buffets on the weekends are abundant and all you care to eat! The weekend special buffets are so good you might just want to try them both!. The Seafood Buffet is served every Friday evening beginning at 5 pm.

The Famous Beer Barrel Saloon

The Beer Barrel Saloon is a favorite of both tourists and island locals alike. Hosting live entertainment from April to October, Live music begins in May on the weekends, and the calendar expands to daily events from June through August. The calendar is then scaled down to weekends once fall rolls around.

Many of the most talented musicians and bands in the country can be seen at the Beer Barrel Saloon. This includes Mustang Sally, Captain Sweet Shoes, Dan Stewart, and Kenny Kidd, to name a few. The outside patio is the perfect place to enjoy those summer island breezes and a refreshing cocktail.

The famous bar measures 405 feet, 10 inches, and is even taller than the nearby Perry’s Victory and International Peace Monument. With an impressive 160 bar stools, 56 beer taps, and a seating capacity of 1,200! On busy nights, the bar employs over 20 bartenders and opens two extra bars in the back and on the building’s sides. This spot can get pretty packed! Everyone loves hanging out at the Beer Barrel!

Tippers Seafood Steak House and the Beer Barrel Saloon are both located on the site of the famous old Colonial Building Delaware Avenue across from DeRivera Park. This historically beautiful wooden structure tragically burned to the ground in 1988. For just shy of 100 years, the Colonial Building was home to various businesses, including a dance hall, skating rink, and a bowling alley.

Tippers Seafood Steak House is a Fantastic Place for Drinks and Food! We dropped in several times over a quiet weekend while docking on A Dock. I continue to favor their Brandy Alexanders over all others! Brunch on Saturday was excellent, with several egg choices in addition to standard fare. Service was wonderful as usual - Patty handled the mob in the bar during the Ohio State Football game with classiness and excellent service throughout!

It was pouring down raining, and we needed a place to jump in. With the weather things to do in put-in-bay ohio were slim. The Tippers Seafood Steak House restaurant wasn't crowded, and I was glad with the weather out there. The server was friendly and accommodating to our request. The food came out quickly and was delicious for $17.00. The burgers were flavorful, and the potato skins were great too.

On a busy weekend, we were driving around trying to find SOMEPLACE to eat.....I WISH Tippers Seafood Steak House would promote on their sign better, but we went in and requested to look at the menu to see if we wanted to stay. SOOO glad that we did....the food was terrific, and the waiter was amiable. We had the ribs, steak, and buffalo chicken sandwich- everyone in our group LOVED their food, and the food presentation was like things you'd see in a luxurious restaurant. The only downside of this place is the stale decor, but they have some of the best food! This food was worth taking the chance!!!

IMHO, Tippers Seafood Steak House is the world's most comfortable bar. There are arms on the padded chairs, and the elbow-to-butt juxtaposition is perfection. And they still serve domestics on tap if you're not in the mindset for "craft" beer. I'm a happy little guy here. The seafood buffet was awesome and kept well stocked! One of our favorite put-in-bay restaurants.

After riding our bikes all over the island, a friend and I stopped at Tippers Seafood Steak House for a late lunch. We had been here before, so we knew what to expect. The food was delicious. The cheeseburger was nice and thick, with ample French fries. Our server (Sandy) did an outstanding job waiting on us. The dining area was pretty busy as people watched the Ohio State football game, but Sandy did a great job minding our needs for the meal. She was very personable and proficient. The food arrived within an appropriate amount of time, and it was served hot. The environment was great. The floors and tables were clean, despite a busy day.
