The Upper Deck Restaurant

Upper Deck Restaurant Particulars

Quite the Put-In-Bay destination, one sprawling complex is the Boardwalk with numerous bars and restaurants. It welcomes any visitor who arrives on South Bass Island, right at the harbor. The Upper Deck Restaurant, ideal for date nights and any special event, is the most sophisticated place on the Boardwalk. The Upper Deck, in addition to the excellent Lobster Bisque, specializes in local and regional seafood.

The Upper Deck Menu Highlights
• Lake Erie Walleye Baskets
• Lake Erie Perch Sandwich
• Maine Lobster
• Key West Pink Shrimp

In a cocktail mood with some appetizers? In spades, the Upper Deck delivers. Check out their creamy Fish Dip and Blue Cheese Chips, crispy Mozzarella Sticks, and Coconut Shrimp. With a martini, they go great. The Upper Deck has quite an extensive menu, so order and enjoy the views like James Bond. A great variety of beer and wine is also available.

In both a normal and bread bowl, the Lobster Bisque is available. Always in the lobster mood? Their mac ‘n cheese lobster is downright sinful. Fresh vegetables alongside fantastic seafood are served with lobster, shrimp, and crab alfredo primavera.

All of their salads are wholesome and filling. You will certainly get your fill, from Southwest Shrimp Salad to the Blackened Chicken Caesar. The Lobster Bisque is not the only thing to enjoy- We were told to get the lobster bisque here while in Put in Bay, so we made it our stop for lunch. The Upper Deck Restaurant has a beautiful view of Lake Erie, the service was finely delivered, and the lunch was fantastic. The bisque might better be called a Manhattan lobster chowder--if you want to quibble--since the abundant lobster chunks are in a broth of tomato with a good deal of potato. I paired it with a side salad, raspberry vinaigrette dressing, plus a minty Mojito--the flavors counterbalanced and kept my taste buds delighted. THis has always been one of our favorite put-in-bay restaurants

Good food, and a nice view. I had the shrimp salad which was excellent. My wife's perch sandwich was really good. The Upper Deck atmosphere is friendly and lively.

The Tartar Sauce! First tour to Put-in-Bay in a LONG time! We had dinner outside, looking over the lake, which was a great view. It is a bit pricey for casual dining, but we looked at about every restaurant menu downtown, and their prices are right in line for the area. We had the perch platter and walleye with sides. The walleye was delicious, and the perch was a close second. What made the dinner was the Upper Deck tartar sauce. Generally, I am not a fan; too much pickle for me. But let me tell you; it's worth the price of admission alone! I was submerging everything in it. I couldn't stop:) Fries, chips, fish, and lettuce all took the plunge. They make it on-site according to our fantastic server. Delightful dinner.

Dinner and lunch the next day at the Upper Deck were just amazing. Excellent food and beautiful views. Take advantage of the lobster bisque. I'm a Gloucester, Mass gal, and it was equivalent to the best I've ever had in New England. The staff was wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Outstanding food-My husband and I reached Put-in-Bay hungry. We were going to go to the boardwalk, then saw the upper deck was a full-service sit-down restaurant and selected to eat there. I don't eat seafood, so my husband usually does when he can, but he ordered a cheeseburger, as did I. The burgers were massive and very good! He got the burger with an egg on it. I got the western burger, all the toppings were fresh, and they didn't skimp on them. The french fries had seasoning on them and were also very pleasing. Everything looked clean. The staff was amiable and accommodating. We will eat there again.

I went specifically to the Upper Deck Restaurant restaurant because they brag about the best lobster bisque in Ohio, and from where I stand, they were right! It was excellent! Large chunks of lobster. I added a side salad with Mango Chardonnay vinaigrette was awesome. My friend had a perfect cheeseburger, and the Orange Creamsicle cocktails were amazing. Service was acceptable price was right

Great dinner! I can't recall ever having a bad meal at the Upper Deck in all the years that we have gone here. Service is very efficient and friendly.

Great! We enjoyed dinner at the upper deck restaurant. It was terrific! My husband got the Walleye sandwich with sweet potato fries. I got a cheeseburger with onion rings. Our companion got a seafood alfredo and a perch sandwich. All the food was delicious!! I particularly loved the onion rings! The service was good, and the view was fantastic!
