Some people may only visit Put-in-Bay once or twice, but I personally go there once or twice a year and never regret it. While there is plenty of family fun during the day, things heat up at night with a lively adult playground. The pools, bars, and food are all fantastic, and everyone is all about just having a great time with cold drinks and good vibes. Live music is always on offer in many of the bars and venues, and the accommodations are adequate for the island setting.

In late September, we had the pleasure of visiting Put-in-Bay, Ohio. Upon arriving midweek, we were met with a peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Getting around on our rented golf cart was easy and safe. Although golf carts can be expensive at $60 per day, they are the best mode of transportation to get about the Island unless you have bikes. We opted to stay at the Put-in-Bay Convention Center, which was centrally located, clean and even offered breakfast on weekdays. We highly recommend visiting the butterfly house and the winery across the street. The two caves were also worth exploring, with the Crystal Cave being particularly unique. While we didn't have a chance to explore Middle Bass Island and Kellys Island on this trip, we plan to do so on our next visit. We took the miller ferry put-in-bay.

It's incredible how we have our own slice of paradise right here in Ohio! Put-In-Bay is a destination that truly caters to all ages and interests. During our trip with the kids, we made sure to visit Perry's Cave and the Butterfly House and played some Putt-Putt. We also spent time at the Heineman Winery on the Island, where we found that we could have our wine sent to the put-in-bay ferry so that we didn't have to carry it around. What a great convenience! Our first visit was on the 4th of July in 2005, which was bustling with people of all ages and a lot of drinking. However, during our recent trip in June 2007, it was much quieter and more peaceful, which made it perfect. Stop by the South Bass Island State Park if you're interested in water activities such as swimming, fishing, jet skiing, boating, or windsurfing. They even offer camping. Overall, Put-In-Bay is a true gem in the middle of America!

We had an amazing time during our family vacation at Put-in-bay. The All Star Ohio House house was perfect for us with 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a great kitchen that even had a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. The best part was the huge tub in one of the bathrooms! We were also impressed with the excellent service provided by the friendly staff. Unlike some of the other places we visited on the island, the staff at the All Star Ohio House were professional and helpful. When our coffee maker didn't work on the first morning, they quickly replaced it with a brand new one. We really appreciate the great service and wonderful experience. Thanks again!

What a fantastic time we had! Our day on the island was filled with excitement, from riding golf carts and exploring parks to indulging in delicious food and enjoying a parade. Our adventure began with a breezy ride on the jet Express, whisking us away to Put-in-Bay. Upon arrival, we headed straight to Put-in-Bay Golf Carts, where we had pre-booked a 4-person cart online. It was incredibly convenient to simply walk up to the window and find our cart ready to go.

As we ventured out, we immersed ourselves in the charm of Put-in-Bay. The island unfolded its secrets as we discovered its unique attractions. One highlight was stopping by the Biergarten at the Goat, where we were welcomed to sit outside and savor our picnic lunch while enjoying a refreshing drink from their diverse menu. The combination of delectable food, pleasant weather, and a vibrant atmosphere made it a delightful experience.

Our exploration continued with visits to various parks and landmarks, including the iconic Perry Monument. Cruising around the island in our trusty golf cart allowed us to effortlessly navigate and appreciate the island's natural beauty. We took our time, relishing the picturesque views and relishing each new discovery.

In the afternoon, we made a stop downtown to soak in the lively atmosphere and explore the vibrant shops and boutiques. The bustling streets provided ample opportunities to browse and indulge in some well-deserved retail therapy.

As the day progressed, our appetites led us to the Boardwalk Restaurant, where we dined while overlooking the glistening lake. The ambiance, coupled with the scrumptious meal, made for a truly memorable dining experience. It was the perfect way to conclude our day of adventure and relaxation.

Reflecting on our time on the island, we couldn't help but feel grateful for the unforgettable memories we created. From the scenic golf cart rides to the charming parks, captivating landmarks, and satisfying culinary experiences, Learning about Put-in-Bay offered a delightful escape from the ordinary. It's a place we'll fondly remember and eagerly return to in the future.

Upon arriving, we opted to drive, allowing us to explore the island at our own pace throughout the day. However, if you choose to cross as a passenger, renting a golf cart is a popular and convenient option. With a golf cart, getting around and finding parking spots becomes a breeze, although we managed just fine when we stumbled upon a suitable spot.
