The Candy Bar made the candy-Nice sampling of candies and taffy, but the store-made confections stole my soul! They maintain a ton to pick from, so I had to be cautious not to go wild. I wasn't certain if I would enjoy the truffles since I'm picky, but OMG, I wish I had purchased additional!! I tested the dark chocolate brownie, and I believe it was named birthday cake. I know it was a cake; anyway, the exterior of the chocolate had a pleasant crunch and excellent flavor, and the inside was just as pleasing. The cake was smooth and sweet. The brownie middle dissolved in my mouth. The cookie-crispy delight was another favorite for my spouse and me. We will certainly buy additional the next time we drive it to Put-in-Bay.

First-class Candy Bar Everyone understands it has been difficult for business proprietors during the pandemic. I was extremely pleased and impressed to see Candy Bar sticking to recommended policies by only permitting a few shoppers in the facility at a time and mandating workers and consumers to sport masks as well. This demonstrates they care, but they also want to provide quality service, which they do. We assumed they ceased serving ice cream at eight, so we arrived at maybe 7:10, and there was a line. Stayed in line, and when I got to the front found out they actually stopped serving at 7. Had I known this, I wouldn't have even gotten in line, but they didn't cut the shoppers off. We just waited patiently for it to die down. Very friendly of them! They definitely didn't have to. And employees Amanda and Mikayla were very nice about it too. The only item that makes it even more pleasing is that the fudge and ice cream are scrumptious too. And a wide assortment of products as well!

Confections from your childhood days-We chose to go into the candy shop just to witness what they had from when we were children (we are now in our 50s). The Candy Bar had bunches of Pez dispensers, a lot of candy bars, some we maintain now, candy from when we were small like, for example, Aero candy bars, Big League Chew Gum, those flying saucers that look like styrofoam, Haribo gummy candy, the candy dots you eat off paper, laffy taffy, big dippers, warheads, pop-ups and buckets of cotton candy. They also market chocolate candies, fudge, and massive cookies that are delectable. It was amusing to see what they were peddling. They also had a box of assorted candies from when you were born, 50s, the 60s, 70s, etc., which was cool to see all in one assorted box. A throwback shop from the past, for sure.

Fun little candy store-wonderful small mom-and-pop candy store. I discovered confections from my childhood, my lads got Harry Potter jelly beans, and my spouse walked out with a bag of jelly babies ( a must for any dr who fan), something for everyone, fun, colorful, and pretty well-priced for a sightseer town. The Candy Bar is the bomb!

In A Sugar coma-Awesome selection of sweet treats. You can get anything at the The Candy Bar, from chocolate-covered rice Krispee treats to m&m's. We got a few Rice Krispie treats with chocolate and peanut butter and a five-foot-tall sugar pixie stick for my niece.

I feel like a kid again! I don't generally like snacks like this, but I wanted to know what all of the grown-ups were running into The Candy Bar for. The site has some of the most fascinating assortments of sweets and snacks that I've witnessed. I walked away with some really odd snacks, but the best thing I enjoyed was the taffy they had there. Had to snare a box for the highway after I tasted one. Had to share them with my workmates because they saw me feasting on them, so now I need to get back there to get more.

Stop at The Candy Bar before you leave the island. Carry home some awesome chocolates. So wide various varieties, and the selection is constantly changing. My favorite is the dark chocolate sea salt caramel or any of the truffles. Can we say chocolate-covered bacon??? And yes, it is exemplary! There are so many chocolate-covered goodies I want to test them all.

Ice Cream by the Park-We wanted good ice cream, and the attractive storefront of The Candy Bar caught our eye. The front portion of the shop is all the confectionaries you could envision, especially from my childhood. The ice cream was served at a different door and only had a few cubicles. They offer Toft's ice cream, produced in Sandusky. The tastes we tested were Salty Caramel Fudge Truffle and Lake Erie Islands Cherry. We opted for the one dip in a cup ($3.50), and the portions were plentiful. Great flavors and is rich and creamy. They also make milkshakes and sundaes etc.vput-in-bay candy bar is a fabulous place to test while on the island!

My Happy Area- This is a candy store that markets everything contemporary, retro, or weird and different that you can't purchase anywhere else. Some distinguishable candy we bought were tobasco-flavored chocolate, root beer from Mike and Ike's, and an apple-flavored sucker with genuine ants. My son said they sold other insect candy with worms and scorpions. The Candy Bar also offered homemade candy and fudge, and around the side of the establishment, they sold additional ice cream desserts and cones.

Old School Ice Cream And Candy We like to stop at various candy stores around the nation. Often those are the best places to get choices from when we were children. The ice cream was okay. It was the same. You can get it literally everywhere else. The main attraction at The Candy Bar is the masses of candy you can get here. Pop rocks, homemade fudge, cow tails, you call it! Lots of wonderful things to try and purchase! put-in-bay candy bar we will be back!

Got a sweet tooth? After a difficult day shopping and partying at the many places in Put-in-Bay, you need some fuel; and the Candy Bar is the place to get it. Homemade fudge, chocolates, taffy, and just about every kind of candy I've ever seen. This is a sweet tooth's dream. The women are very nice and incredibly helpful, and the candy is all very pleasing.

Something sweet for everyone at The Candy Bar. This spot is wonderful. They have homemade chocolates and fudge. They have multiple flavors of saltwater taffy. They have packaged vintage candies from my youth. They have really good ice cream. As I said, they have something for everyone! I finished up getting a few other things to sample. I tested the cotton candy taffy (delicious), chocolate-covered bacon (yummy and different for sure), chocolate-dipped gummy worms, chocolate caramel pecans, and chocolate and candy-covered Oreos (my weakness). I wanted to try the chocolate-covered Twinkie, but I had a full load of goodies already. Both grown-ups and children seemed to appreciate this establishment. I would certainly return.

Love novelty candy. I always stop at the candy bar while I am on the island. They have a large selection of novelty candy, and last year I had the opportunity to use a cotton candy-making machine they have. This place is a little pricey, but it is worth the money. I do not personally buy the fudge, but they have a good selection, and I heard it was good. I am always more interested in old-fashioned and novelty candies. I recommend put in bay candy bar to anyone. Adults and children. And they have Adirondack chairs out in front so you can eat your candy and laugh and watch the people go by.

A wonderful little place to tour. Rent a golf cart and appreciate the island. The climate was perfect, and the business employees and owners were pleasant and accommodating. We drove all over the island and had a marvelous time. The ferry ride over is very enjoyable and offers fantastic views. The put-in-bay candy bar was the highlight of the trip, with hundreds of varieties of old-school and modern candies.
