Treasure Island! Pleasant ferry passage on the Jet Express to a small island full of different shopping, attractions, restaurants, hotels, pubs, lodging, and other benefits. We planned our day and leased our little golf cart at Put-in-Bay Golf Cart Rentals. Our first visit was to Tippers Seafood & Steak House for some amazing Walleye bites and adult beverages, then to see when it started spraying pails of rain. We had rain shawls but were unprepared for that 20-degree temperature drop. Perrys Cave Gift Shop was our next stop for a few gifts. I can't recall where we spent our time waiting for the ferry to return, but they were all cheerful people that made us feel welcome.

Always a great time at Put-in-Bay! This weekend we chose to take our craft on a spontaneous day trip to Put In Bay. Docking at Park Place boat club for the first time was very easy and economical. They provided hourly or overnight prices and had several landing hands to assist with docking. The temperature was wonderful, and we reached Lake Erie in an hour. The Island was pretty busy that day, with numerous guests visiting and enjoying the weather. We visited the RoundHouse Bar, Frosty's Pizza, and Mojito Bay, to name a few. Perrys Cave Gift Shop was the only place we shopped at. This year's new bar on the Island is Topsy Turvey's at the Wharfside store. Owned by long-time island residents, this is a fantastic regional bar with personality and sociable guests. I recommend stopping by to anyone!

Touristy And Nice! This place has numerous restaurants, gift shops, and other usual tourist-type specialties. There is also the Perry Peace Memorial monument, where you can take the elevator to the top, which is very beautiful and exciting. There is an extensive park on the Island with numerous additional playground sites. My niece had a ball! There is also a merry-go-round located across the street from the DeRivera Park site. The public toilets at the playground have showers(for a fee) and lockers ($1). The locker can be handy if you have coolers or bathing suits, etc. The lockers are huge. There are plenty of things for youngsters to do if you want to do the butterfly house and caves. Perrys Cave Gift Shop is a neat shop also located at the caves. We also did put-in-bay rock climbing there. We rented a golf cart here, but if you do, don't rent right when you get off the ferry! Book online at Put-in-Bay Golf Carts for much better rates.

Island of fun and recreation1 Any day from Memorial Day to mid-October is excellent for a weekend of fun, beverages, and music. There is a pub or band for everyone. Enjoy boating, jet skis, and fishing. Make a stop at South Bass Island to blow off steam. Perrys Cave Gift Shop and the Carriage House were great shopping.

Adult Fun Zone! This is a delightful place! Shops, restaurants, bars, a winery, and an island to explore - all by a golf cart or your feet! South Bass Island, off the coast by Port Clinton, Ohio - is an adult's playground. We've been there a tandem of times in the previous two years - and love to go for the people-watching, the shopping ( check out Perrys Cave Gift Shop,) and the music. Each place has another act to see/listen to. Our dinners have also been excellent on both tours there - any palate can be pleased! Fees are within reason - the ferry passage to the Island is also fun. We would suggest taking children thru the week. A lot of fun family things to do. About a 2 hour drive to get to the boat dock in Port Clinton from Detroit. Go and enjoy!

Excellent Place to Expend a Day or Two. My wifey & I went with another duo this past Saturday. It was our first time. The other couple have been before. I took the Miller ferry & arrived at @1PM. We got our golf cart rental & off we went. Took the ferry back @7PM. Relaxed place. There are a few exciting things to do & see, but the main attraction seems to be the downtown area. We had lunch at the BoatHouse Bar & Grill restaurant, did a little shopping at Perrys Cave Gift Shop & took in the whole Island on our little cart. It was a nice place to spend a day & we would certainly return.

Yes, there are many items you can do with children. Yes, there are historical places. But they don't call Put in Bay the Key West of the North for no reason. If you need to let go for a few days, go here. We are mid-40s couples who needed to get out for a few days. We had no trouble fitting in with the more youthful populace, but there are plenty of all ages. We spent the day tooling around the Island in a golf cart rental, walking out to an island on the less built-up side of the Island where it felt more like the Bahamas than Ohio. We did a little shopping at the Perrys Cave Gift Shop and bought a few knick-knacks. Perrys Cave Gift Shop is located at the caves. Once while walking, we had to jump back at one point because water snakes started coming out of the water right where we were sitting. Then at about 7:00 pm, we hit the pubs by the water until the music began. It was a lot of enjoyment, and we had a terrific time. They have the Las Vegas attitude of What Happens In Put In Bay Stays In Put In Bay. If you permit yourself, you can have a lot of silliness here! Highly suggested!
