PUT-IN-BAY, OHIO – June 21, 2017, Award-winning Put-in-Bay novel author Bob Adamov has released his tenth book, Golden Torpedo. “Hard to believe that I’ve released #10. On October 19, 2002, I launched my first Put-in-Bay novel, Rainbow’s End, at a book launch party at the Park Hotel’s winter bar.

Being a new author, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was surprised by the number of islanders who showed up and supported my effort by making the launch successful. That support and everyone’s ideas for my book plots have been greatly appreciated over the years. Thank you so much,” Adamov commented.

“In Golden Torpedo, my readers will recognize Put-in-Bay attractions like Mist and Heineman’s Winery and several of the characters like Mike “Mad Dog” Adams, Maggie Beckford, Pauline Garsteck, Ed Fitzgerald and Cheryl and Jeff Rubel. It’s always fun putting real people in my novels and surprising them,” Adamov added. “There’s also a major scene with our protagonist being lost at sea, which was triggered by a minor incident that happened to me off of Key West a few years ago.”

Autographed copies of the Put-in-Bay Books are available locally at Country House, The Butterfly House of Put-in-Bay, Crew’s Nest, Wharfside, and The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society. Be sure to visit Bob’s Facebook page for exciting stories and his signing locations. Golden Torpedo continues the widespread and growing Emerson Moore Put-in-Bay Novel series created by Adamov in 2002 with the release of Rainbow’s End, his first mystery adventure thriller.

He is well known for his own adventurous travel, which often precedes the footsteps of his solid characters and the imagination of his readers. His string of island best sellers: Rainbow’s End, Pierce the Veil, When Rainbows Walk, Promised Land, The Other Side of Hell, Tan Lines, Sandustee, Zenobia, and Missing well reflect Adamov’s writing style that has been compared to internationally acclaimed bestselling authors Clive Cussler and Tom Clancy.

The Story in Brief – Golden Torpedo Put-in-Bay-based investigative reporter Emerson Moore is pulled into a complex series of incidents that link a sunken World War II U-boat on a particular assignment to FDR’s death in 1945 to terrorists on a deadly mission. Moore must connect the threads before the terrorists wreak havoc using drones on a key Florida military site and a New Orleans world leaders’ conference.

In Key West, Moore joins renowned shipwreck hunter Willie Wilbanks as they team up with a Turkish underwater archeologist, his beautiful daughter/research assistant, and a motley crew of misfits on a dangerous adventure in the Straits of Florida to find the sunken U-boat. When disaster strikes, Moore and Wilbanks are adrift at sea with little hope for rescue.

Racing against time, Moore is sucker-punched on his most thrilling journey yet. Golden Torpedo is a gripping epic of danger as Moore follows a trail that leads to treachery and a deadly climax. Recognition Adamov was the featured author at the 2006 Ernest Hemingway Literary Festival in Key West. He was named Writer of the Year (2010) in a regional competition sponsored by the University of Akron’s Wayne College.

Adamov’s first novel – Rainbow’s End – was a 2003 runner-up as the top fiction novel in the Great Lakes (won by Pulitzer Prize winner – Middlesex.) His Put-in-Bay novels were rated 5 Stars by the Midwest Book Review, and several were named as top novels in northeast Ohio by the Akron Beacon Journal. Adamov’s novels additionally have won awards at the Hollywood Book Festival, London Book Festival, New York Book Festival, the Indie Awards, Great Midwest Book Festival, and Florida Book Festival.

A Kent State University graduate, Adamov resides in Wooster, Ohio. He is often seen in Put-in-Bay, Ohio, Key West, and the Cayman Islands with his scuba diving, boating, and treasure-hunting friends. He had worked for an Arlington, Virginia-based defense contractor in the intelligence sector.
