Nature Camp To Begin At Put-in-Bay
Nature Camp at the Bay will be here soon. The camp will take place over three weeks: July 18-21 (Nature Camp, ages 6-8), July 25-27 (My First Nature Camp, ages 4-5), July 25-29 (Environmental Adventure Camp 2, ages 11-14), and August 1-5 (Environmental AdventureCamp 1, ages 9-10.) We will be learning about bees and worms at Nature Camp with the younger children. Environmental Adventure Camps will be visiting Stone Laboratory this year. Environmental Adventure Camp 2 will travel to Middle Bass Island for their Campout!
We will offer two sessions of Environmental Adventure Camp, 1-one with an overnight camp-out and one with a cookout lunch. Additional Nature Camp and My First Nature Camp sessions have been added to accommodate our ever-growing camp program! We are planning a special Nature Camp kickoff program on Sunday, July 17, for the whole family at the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center-watch for details, and we will release them as soon as we have everything in place!
Camp at the Bay is sponsored by the Lake Erie Islands Chapter of the Black Swamp Conservancy, the Lake Erie Islands Historical Society, and the Put-in-Bay Recreation Committee. Thanks to everyone for their support!
Registration forms are available by e-mailing leic_bsc@cros.net, or stopping by the Lake Erie Islands Historical Society or Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center. Please send yours in as soon as possible to reserve your spot! Once we receive your registration, a full schedule, volunteer sign-up list, full medical forms, and more information will be sent to you in early June.
